Caterpillar biodiversity is one of the most important aspects of a healthy ecosystem. They are incredible creatures because of that and a lot of other reasons too! In this video I show you some of what makes caterpillars so special by showcasing some incredible local caterpillar diversity here in NC. All of the caterpillars were found within 20 miles of Raleigh, NC. The sawfly larvae were from Crossnore, NC.
